DELIVERY ASSOCIATE AND COACH
Los Angeles, California  |  USA

For over 20 years, I’ve been committed to helping organizations and leaders build greater trust with their clients and employees, leading to life-long customers and a fully engaged workforce. I’ve accomplished this through successfully helping others understand how trust is built, learn how to navigate challenging conversations, restore broken trust, and accelerate trust building in an authentic and effective manner. I’m in my sweet spot when I’m able to customize each program to an organization’s culture, needs, and business challenges.

I’m based in the Los Angeles area, but have designed and delivered programs in Asia, Europe, and North America, for companies such as Google, Workday, USC Cancer Center, and Small Business Development Centers across the country.

I have a B.S. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Biola University, and a M.S. in Positive Organizational Development & Change from Case Western Reserve School of Management. I’m also credentialed by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with over 5,000 hours of coaching experience.

My Trust Story

Over 20 years ago, I came across The Trusted Advisor early in my coaching and consulting career. A major insight I got from the book was on understanding the evolution of the client-advisor relationship. I had been naively assuming clients would treat me as a Trusted Advisor when I was in most cases a Subject Matter Expert. Instead of seeing this disconnect as something I could address, I had been blaming my clients for not taking my advice seriously.

This was a major “light bulb” for me as I began to reevaluate all my client relationships on whether they saw me as primarily a Subject Matter Expert, Problem Solver, Valuable Resource, or Trusted Advisor. This had a dramatic impact on how I saw clients and myself. Instead of feeling frustrated and expecting clients to see me as Trusted Advisor, I became clear on how clients currently viewed me and met them at their point of need. I also took the initiative to move the relationship to the next level.

Over time I began to see more and more clients rely on me as a Trusted Advisor and less as simply a Subject Matter Expert.

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT ME

I hated reading books all throughout grade school and college. It was only when I got into the workforce that I discovered a love and hunger for non-fiction books as a means for acquiring greater knowledge and wisdom, learning from others mistakes and lessons, and for growing personally and professionally. Since I started that journey, I’ve had the opportunity to read over 1000 books on leadership, organizational development, and personal and professional growth.
