Hazel Thompson
Based in Melbourne, Australia, I help Trusted Advisor clients grow and develop their businesses through strategic and personal coaching. I focus on developing the soft skills, such as listening, cooperation and communication, that help people and organizations succeed.
I have an Executive MBA from the Australian School of Business and an accreditation in adult education. My 25 years of experience in general management include seven years as Senior Manager Business Development at Ernst & Young, two years as a lecturer, and more than a decade in consulting. I’m the owner of Excelerator < http://www.excelerator.com.au/>, a business development and marketing consultancy that works with law, accounting and other professional services firms.
My Trust Story
During my career and personal life, sometimes during conversations I would be thinking about what I would say next instead of really listening to what the other person was saying.
Using the Trusted Advisor Associates material around ‘thinking out loud’ enables me to concentrate on complete listening. Thinking out loud allows a person to go on the journey with you as you share your thought processes, which increases your credibility and intimacy — both major factors in the trustworthiness process.
My Services
As an associate at Trusted Advisor, I am a coach, facilitator and business developer. I am passionate about helping Trusted Advisor clients develop, both personally and professionally. Success for me is when I see real changes taking place as a result of my collaboration with a client.

Thank you very much for a very informative and worthwhile training day! I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the fact that some of the exercises took me out of my comfort zone…
